The Person Behind the Lense

Hey! I'm so glad to have you here & excited for you to feel inspired & empowered while browsing my portfolio.

I'm Kendra, many of my close friends & family call me Kenny or Kenn; & I'm a stay at home Mom to my toddler son with another little one on the way. It's crazy because I don't even feel like I should be this old haha. My hubby & I have been together 8 years, & married almost 3! We met when I was 19 & he was about to turn 22. Time truly does fly by.

So, what got me into photography?

Well, my sister and I enjoyed taking photos when we were younger. She was actually the first one of us to get a camera & I was usually the one modeling for her. We both enjoy exercising our creativity & it was a great outlet.

As I got older, I found myself having these super inspired ideas for photoshoots, but I didn't have the money to have someone take the photos for me or our schedules never lined up. Sometimes, I just got to into my head & chickened out. It never crossed my mind that I could just do them myself.

Fast forward a couple years, & my husband and I had purchased our first & current home. I felt inspired to take some self portraits with my phone & started getting a feel for editing. At the same time, my thirst to do more was amping up. It still hadn't crossed my mind to get myself a camera.

Then, in 2021, I found out I was pregnant with our first born. I wanted to take all the photos of my growing belly & made my phone work; it satisfied me for awhile. In 2022, when I gave my birth to my son, I found myself wanting to capture every moment. I captured so many, & all of his monthly photos up until 11 months. It was seriously so much fun!

In 2023, I finally thought, you know what? I should get a camera. So I put it on my Christmas wishlist, & my husband got me a camera.

Now, I can't stop thinking of things & moments I want to capture. The bug has taken over! I'm so excited for this journey of mine to progress, & to freeze those important moments of yours in time.
