Why I Choose Not to Edit Out Your "Flaws"

Okay, so you've booked a portrait session with me, you're excited to capture some amazing memories, but you're a little apprehensive. I have a couple guesses on what you might be thinking.
"I don't like my smile".
"My arms jiggle".
"My belly has stretch marks".
"My birth mark is so obvious".
Listen, it's so okay to be nervous; and I'm going to let you in on a little secret: I have those thoughts to.

The truth is, we all have rolls somewhere on our bodies, we all have a stretch mark and some cellulite hanging out somewhere we don't really want it.
And we are still BEAUTIFUL. You deserve to have these memories to keep and cherish forever. A body that's not perfect is a body that is unique and has been lived in. I don't edit out your "flaws" because they have played a part in shaping who you are.
Somebody has to appreciate that.

Yours,
Kendra
