An Alberta Golden Hour Engagement Session

There was snow beneath our feet, but somehow it felt like the beach, golden hour wrapping around us like sea spray.
It was cold and quiet and so full of warmth.

This session was planned intentionally, from a shared Pinterest board full of inspiration to prompts pulled from their story. But even with a plan, the magic showed up in all the little ways you can’t quite script.
They were soft with each other. Playful. Affectionate.
A little reserved at first, like many couples are, but once we got moving, they fell into a rhythm of laughter and quiet connection. The kind that makes you feel like you’re witnessing something real.
They chose to wear white, we had been expecting spring greens for our backdrop, but somehow it worked out perfectly anyway. Against the snowy landscape, they almost glowed. Every movement caught the light just right.
There wasn’t one defining moment, but rather a dozen little ones.
The way he held her.
The way she tilted her head back when she laughed.
The softness in how they looked at each other in between prompts.
Those are the things I love capturing most.

This session reminded me how collaborative storytelling can be.
We planned it together, shaped it with intention, and then let the light and emotion do what they do best.
These images?
They feel like the kind you save forever.
If this kind of storytelling tugs at your heart, let's connect.
All my best,
Kendra
